Erskine Public School. The Old Bishopton School in 1906 was known as Erskine Public School. The schoolmaster in 1906 was John Morton Duncan M.A., who had been the headmaster of Langbank school for 18 years. He was appointed to this position in June 1896 and was the first occupant of the new school house, which was completed in August 1897.

The school is no longer there. Bishopton Primary School took its place and changed the name to stop the confusion with Erskine.
